Elisabeth

Elisabeth - end of dreams. Inspired by a book by Alessandro Baricco, "Castelli di rabbia" (Castles of rage).

During one of his trips, Mr Rail bought a locomotive and brought it at home. He called it Elisabeth. He was fascinated by the development of trains in Europe, and he wanted to build a 200 kilometers railway, leaving from his house, and then going straight through the country. Elisabeth should have run on this railway, launched as a bullet. Mr Rail dreamt of speed and freedom.
But money was not enough, and at the end Elisabeth was left abandoned in the fields at the bottom of the hill where Mr Rail's house was, and became only a strange object which children came to see and play with.
This is the end of a dream (one among many others).
And this is Elisabeth. Hope you like it.
